Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and one of the most famous mountains in the world. It is located in northern Tanzania and stands tall above the surrounding plains.

Mount Kilimanjaro is a free standing mountain, meaning it is not part of a mountain range. It has three volcanic cones Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira with Uhuru Peak on Kibo being the highest point.

One of the most special things about Kilimanjaro is its changing landscapes. As you climb, you pass through rainforest, moorland, rocky areas, and finally reach the snowy summit. It is one of the few places in Africa where you can see snow.
