Mount Meru

Mount Meru is a beautiful and active volcano located inside Arusha National Park, near Arusha. It is the second highest mountain in Tanzania and offers a quieter, less crowded alternative to Mount Kilimanjaro.

Mount Meru is known for its rich wildlife and scenic trails. As you climb, you pass through forests, grasslands, and rocky areas, often seeing animals like giraffes, buffaloes, and monkeys along the way. The mountain also features a large crater and steep cliffs, giving it a dramatic and unique shape.

Climbing Mount Meru is both challenging and rewarding, with stunning views from the summit especially at sunrise, where you can even see Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.
